I am a licensed clinical social worker in Florida, passionate about working with adults of all ages. I work primarily through telehealth, providing services to you in the comfort of your home.
I completed my undergraduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelors in Psychology. After college, I pursued a JD degree and practiced law in New Jersey and New York. While working as an attorney, I noticed I was drawn to the mental health aspects of the law, interning for the Department of Mental Health and clerking in Family Court. After a few years of practice, I decided to make a career change to pursue working in the mental health field and earned my Masters in Social Work at Florida Atlantic University. I am fortunate to have found a career in which I am able to embrace for my passion for helping others achieve their goals.
I use a client centered, solution focused approach, meeting you where you are and helping you move forward. By taking the best from many therapeutic modalities, I am able to create an individualized plan for each client based upon their needs.
Changes involve work but by utilizing my expertise in treatment modalities and your expertise in yourself, we can create and achieve your goals. I want you to learn the skills you need so you can move forward without regular therapy sessions as quickly as possible.
By using telehealth, I can see clients without their having to leave their home or office. I use a HIPPA compliant platform which easy for clients to use. All that is needed is an internet connection and a device on which to connect to the internet.
Sessions run for approximately 50 minutes. Intake, the initial session, takes approximately 60 minutes. During the initial session, we will discuss your presenting problem according to you, as well as questions which will help me determine appropriate treatment plans.
My job is to help you feel comfortable to discuss problems you are facing. There is no right or wrong answer for you to give. I am not a teacher, a boss, a friend, or a partner. I am a nonjudgmental person working with you to bring out the best in you.
I understand that emergencies happen. Please cancel within 24 hours so I can fill that spot with someone else who needs an appointment. If you do not cancel within a 12 hour time period, you may be charged for the session. If you do not show for two appointments, we will need to have a discussion as to whether this is the right time for you to be seeking treatment.
I offer a free phone consultation to allow both you and I to determine if we are a good fit. While I will not give therapeutic advice during this call, it will allow both of us to get a feel of the issues you are facing and see if you feel comfortable working with me. I understand therapy is both a financial and a time commitment and I want you to feel comfortable with your decision to choose me as your therapist.
If you are not covered by insurance that I accept, sessions are $175/session.. I accept major credit cards and HSA/FSA cards.
I accept Medicare, Aetna, Oscar, Oxford, United Healthcare, United Healthcare Medicare Advantage, Cigna, Anthem, Florida Blue, and Optum.
